A Community project.
As part of their graduation project, a group of 12–13-year-olds from Kibbutz Ein HaShofet created this mosaic as a gift to the community.
The parent team guiding the project hoped to place the artwork in a central, visible spot—somewhere the kids could pass by with pride.
The chosen location was the bus stop at the entrance to the kibbutz.
Many ideas were explored for the subject, the technique, and the location.
The final theme connects to the kibbutz’s heritage: a bus that used to arrive in the 1950s, transporting agricultural goods and bringing people in and out of the kibbutz.
I kept the original bus photo and surrounded it with a landscape inspired by the Kibbutz hills.
The bus image was printed on six ceramic tiles to preserve its resolution and its authentic feel.
Created in collaboration with members of the Hofim Group and their parents, who took part in assembling the mosaic
